Who is the JYC list for?

It is primarily for Jewish adults ages 21–39 across New Jersey, including singles, couples, professionals, graduate students, newcomers, people reconnecting with Judaism, and young families interested in age-appropriate events.

How often will JYC email me?

We send updates when there is something useful to share, such as a new event, registration reminder, or meaningful community opportunity.

Do I need to be observant or affiliated?

No. JYC welcomes a wide range of Jewish backgrounds and comfort levels. No synagogue membership or prior experience is required.

Yes. You can use the unsubscribe link in an email whenever you no longer want updates.

The unsubscribe link in a Sender email stops all JYC newsletter emails. To stop only weekly email while keeping main-list updates, ask JYC to remove your weekly preference. Older weekly-digest messages retain their original removal links.

Prefer a browser notification?

No phone number or email address is needed. This is separate from Sender email preferences.

Choose “Enable browser notifications” and then allow notifications in your browser.

Your browser creates a device token. JYC stores that token encrypted and uses it only for this weekly digest. JYC does not receive your browsing history or phone number. You can remove this browser here or in your browser’s notification settings at any time.

Change or stop updates

The unsubscribe link in any Sender newsletter stops all JYC newsletter emails. Optional post-event follow-up has its own recorded permission and a “Stop event follow-up” link in each message; stopping it does not change Sender subscriptions. To stop only weekly email and keep the main list, ask JYC to remove your weekly preference.

Browser notifications are independent: use “Remove this browser” in the weekly section or your browser’s notification settings. Older weekly emails retain their original removal links. If a confirmation is missing, email JYC and name the update you chose.
